America will not change until people change. No amount of ranting, raving, public policy change, judicial declarations, strategies, programs, crusades, pep rallies, good-deed doing, sermons or any other label you want to tag someone with will matter unless people's hearts change. Until the language of political correctness becomes obsolete, and the language of genuine truth telling becomes absolute, we will continue to peer through a stained glass beholding only dim images of what we pretend is reality on the other side.

What can a citizen gain from sermons such as these? These are simply motivational pep rallies urging a future separation of neighbors, communities, and families; a factory line stamping children with permanent loyalties filled with hatred; dissension leading to mass murder and increased prison development.

The question should be...What can we gain from this as a nation? Should these (accurate) histories be shared in the public school system? Yes. Should American history be improved and unveiled to our children so that all demographics can empathize and understand each other? Absolutely. What can make America a better place which does, in fact, present the "shining city on a hill" (which provides hope to international neighbors who need hope)?

In order for positive growth, we must replace the negative DNA (loyalties tied to racism, sexism, self-righteousness, etc) which impedes us from moving forward with positive DNA (love, camaraderie, promise, etc).

Shed the baggage...remember your blanket or pacifier if you must, but don't carry it with you to class or the workplace. Live, teach, and motivate for the future and not in the past. This is the type of "Change" America and humanity should demand.

It wasn't so much the words of Obama's pastor; it was the venom within the words. Americans aren't naive. We can hear anger. We can hear wrath. We can read body language. Content of pulpit messages can be seen in the impact upon people. Even a dog knows when he's in the presence of good or evil. The American church is in trouble...PERIOD. We have removed accountability, invited entertainment, dismissed sin and repentance in favor of anything goes to keep the crowds coming in. God have mercy on the American church-black, white, red and yellow! They may all be precious in His sight, but "without holiness no man shall see God."
